Writing
We implement “Writer’s Workshop” to help improve student’s writing.
Math
We use a variety of resources to teach math based on the NC Standard Course of Study.
Speech
Students are served for many types of communication deficits including articulation, voice disorders, fluency disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders as long as they might negatively impact the student’s social, academic (or vocational) development.
Expectations
Student’s are expected to be prepared for class, arrive on time and put forth their best effort.
Parents are expected to attend IEP meetings.
Every effort will be made to accommodate the day and time to fit your schedule.
Parents are encouraged to assist students with their nightly homework.
We follow the NC Department of Exceptional Children Federal and State guidelines.
All children served by the EC Department are expected to follow school rules and procedures.
Activities
We offer a variety of activities – ranging from educational school based and internet computer programs, social skill groups, positive behavior modeling & role playing and educational games.
Assessments
Speech language pathologist assesses articulation, fluency, voice, receptive & expressive language and hearing screenings.
